In October 2005, the London Borough of Hillingdon Trading Standards raided a car boot sale at Hayes Football Club as they believed that counterfeit goods were being sold there. A 38 year old market trader, of Hillingdon, West London was trading in counterfeit Nike and Timberland goods. He was summonsed for 6 offences under the Trade Marks Act 1994 and pleaded guilty on the 5th of December 2006. ......

A 33-year-old unemployed male living in Streatham South London, came to the attention of the Metropolitan’s Human Trafficking Team during 2005, after it was discovered that he had been producing and supplying false European passports and identity documents using numerous identities for financial gain. The case was referred to the London Regional Asset Recovery Team (RART) for a detailed financial investigation to be carried out. ......

Immigration Scam Nets £2.3 Million Confiscation Order - 19 Sep 2007
Three men jailed for their part in an immigration fraud have been ordered to pay confiscation orders, which total more than £2.3 million. The three men were jailed in 2005 after they had pleaded guilty to 20 offences relating to obtaining leave to remain in the UK for people using false applications. It is believed that they have assisted more than 150 people illegally remain in the UK. ......

Immigration Fraudster Gets Confiscation Order - 27 Feb 2007
One man of North London and a second man of Stoneleigh, Enfield, have pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the Immigration Service. The scam, which occurred between 2001 and 2004, was uncovered by a newspaper reporter who posed as a cousin of the 'groom' and attended one such wedding. ......
