Third Confiscation From Drug Factory Three

As part of an investigation, officers from the Metropolitan Police's Middle Market Drugs Team and HM Revenue and Customs stopped a Mercedes car in Hayes, Middlesex. The car was occupied by three men, one of whom was a 38 year old male of Maidenhead, Berkshire.

The vehicle was searched and a rucksack containing approximately 3kg of cocaine was found. £680 in cash was also found in the man's possession and was seized as evidence. A number of properties relating to the three suspects were searched and a flat in Middlesex was found to contain a drugs factory. The flat was full of the equipment used to manufacture crack cocaine.

On the 25th of September 2006, the man was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for drug trafficking offences.

The financial investigation was carried out by London RART resulting in a confiscation order being made at Isleworth Crown Court on the 6th of April for £26,461. The man was given 6 months to pay or he will face a further 14 months in prison.

The other two men also received confiscation orders of £2,326 and £10,433 respectively.
